What a wonderful example of using an every day moment (OK, maybe not every day - The Warriors haven't won a championship in 40 years - but you know what I mean) as a teachable moment filled with God. For Andre Iguedala who was named MVP to praise God on national television and then share how the team starts each day at Chapel - then seeing your kids nod in agreement.
Katherine shared the following story with me about this family moment - which I wanted to share with you all (with her permission, of course).
Just had to share this story with you all.
So we just finished watching the Warriors become the NBA Champions (you may have too), then right afterwards we watched the awards ceremony. Andre Iguedala was the MVP and was interviewed first. When asked "what do you have to say"...his reply was, "God is Great...God is Great!". Then kinda left it hanging until it sunk in then went on. Later he was interviewed briefly again and said the team started everyday at Chapel together which made them stronger as a team.
I loved it that we were watching as a family and could see the kids all nodding in agreement. A brand new hero was saying this on TV in front of the whole world. It was an amazing God moment and wanted to share with you all.
Thinking of you all and keeping you all in my prayers for a relaxing, fun filled Summer!
Lots of love,
Katherine
